Many times it is the simple things that warm the heart.
My last trip to France, I was with my friend
Genevieve and her son, Charles.
Genevieve was tearing up a bit at the thought of
losing her little boy to the Université de Genève.
Charles hugged his mum and softly said,
"Je t'aime Rouge". (I love you Red)
That was the first time I heard that expression.
The memory warms my heart and always brings
a smile to my face.

Hi Shawn,
Getting prepared for February 2nd? So happy you let us know about it - I'm getting a couple little extras. Anything to celebrate in french.
Nice post - Remembering a special moment with a friend.
I just love those pictures, and pretty much everything in your posts! I live in Paris but am hopeless at finding old items (sifting through the junk you know, quel cauchemar!), so I love it when people do the hard work for me.......
