Express Yourself with Chocolate

Now this is just Chic!!!

Did you know that you can order your very own
personalized M & M's?
What will they think of next.
I just ordered bulk for my store.
You can choose from 22 different colors and
add your own message or a logo.
I've ordered PURPLE, GREY and WHITE
with EAM (short for European Antique Market)
and Très Chic.
Imagine that in 19th Century Glass Compotes!
I'm lovin it.
Just wanted to let everyone know as we are
getting close to the holidays! These would make
wonderful gifts.

Exciting Events at European Antique Market

Just doing a quick post today. I have my French
ami, Michel staying with me who flew in for
the Open House and he leaves tomorrow.
We need to go to a clients home to help with the
placement of some gilded sconces over an alcove
bed. This is going to be a Fabulous French Cottage
house when finished and I will post pictures.
We are hoping she will be in before Christmas.
The Open House this weekend was Magnifique!
merci à mes clients
More pictures and tales from the show to come!

A Sneak Peak

Well I am really tired, but motivated at the same time. I have 4 days left to finish the store. 14 rooms and 2 patios. Haven't even started on the patio yet. I think I'll make it, but you never get accomplished what you want to. I thought I would post a few vinettes. Remember this is a work in progress. You can at least get an idea of what I have. Italian plasters, lots of Shabby Chic, Original painted pieces and of course Louis XVI. I've got some great chandeliers, several are still out being re-wired and upholstry pieces we are covering in muslin. Hope you enjoy the pictures and if you get a chance come by this weekend. We open at 10am Saturday!!

I guess you can also tell I love gilded pieces, shutters and
architecdtural pieces. Pretty much anything Country French.
Have a Great Week everyone.

An Invitation to our Antique Show

It's almost SHOWTIME !!

Finished the invitations today, so I thought
I would post a copy.
Everyone is invited so if you can make it to
Louisville Ky. the weekend of the 20th, would love to meet
some Bloggers.

All things considered, this has been a pretty smooth
container. The container full of goodies
arrived in port at Norfolk yesterday as scheduled.
We received customs clearance immediately and
my awesome driver was there to pick it up, so it
is on it's way to Louisville.
We will begin unloading Monday! YEAH
I'm like a child at Christmas ripping into those
goodies.
Even though I have my inventory list, I find pleasant
surprises while unpacking. When you spend 4 weeks
in France and go to as many markets, auctions and
Depot Ventes as I do, some of those accessories
become a bit blurred in the head.
It could be that I'm getting up in age a bit too, but
I'll give myself a break, because I can get close to
400 pieces on that 40 foot container. How can I
possibly remember everything!
Aside from the normal Country French furniture,
architectural elements, garden pieces and accessories,
I have expanded my buying to include some fabulous
Urban Industrial items. We've got some great vintage
metallic tables and chairs from the famous French
factory Tolix.
Also an assortment of other polished steel pieces
from the 30's that would work well in creating that
Loft Space.
We also have a polished metal postal desk from the
30's identical to the one above that was in this
month's issue of Art & Decoration.
Should be a great show, but I have my work cut out
for me over the next couple of weeks.
Yesterday was just a good day!
I was also blessed with a healthy 2nd Granddaughter!
Cecelia.
She weighed 8lb.2oz. Mother and daughter are
doing well. There will be more about her later.
Gotta run now. I have to do a store layout before
Monday.
I hope to still post more pictures before the show of
those items I did not get photos of in France, so keep
checking back.
Have a Great Weekend All!!
