une porte clôture des autres s'ouvre

Helen Keller once said, when one door closes,
another opens, but if we spend too much time
concentrating on the closed door we don't
notice the open one.

Louisville Antique Mall announced yesterday
they are closing after 26 years.
That leaves 200 dealers without a space
contemplating their next move.
Do you remain in the business
or call it quits?

We would like for you to consider coming to
Shelbyville Antique Market. We are still looking
for good dealers and our rates are the best around.
If your interested call Jane at 502-633-3221

OR if you prefer to sell online, your timing is
impeccable! We are close to launching
"Louisville Antiques" a virtual community of
antique dealers. A user friendly site with
a minimal fee.
If your interested contact Carl at 502.592.9826

Have a great day everyone and hope to see
you at the Decorators's Estate Sale!
Bisou

That is so sad...but lovely that you can offer hope and possibly a new home for some dealers! I love the top image!

I am in the process of closing my shop too. It has been the hardest thing I have had to do. I wish you good luck on your estate sale and your many business ventures!

I also agree with Helen Keller. That is sad that the Antique Market is closing, but it sounds like the other 2 propective ideas will do well. Hey, who knows it could turn out for the best.

So frustrating...just got to keep searching for the doors that need to be opened.

I also agree to the nice quote form Helen Keller. The first photo is perfect for her quote. I just hope everything turns out well well.

It's unfortunate that the economy's latest victim is a 26 year old business important to 200 different dealers. Hopefully the change will turn into good opportunities for the magority of the people affected. Good Luck to all.

Wow! I have been to both over the years...sorry about the closing in Louisville, but it is an opportunity for Shelbyville to increase its presence.

Can't wait until the online shop opens!
All of us seem to need to reinvent ourselves during this time. Here's to walking through that new open door together.

I love your blog, your ideas and images are wonderful. I listen to music almost constantly on my computer. Could you leave your playlist turned off and ask visitors that if they wish to listen to it while enjoying your post, they can turn it on to listen. OR put it high enough in your right column so one doesn't have to scroll so far down to turn it off. OR just decrease the volume.
