coucou mes ami's

I have missed you guys and many thanks for
your emails!
No excuses, just been pre-occupied !

I've had my "nose to the grindstone" and will
be filling you in over time.
First things first.....

Have to share these wonderful antique Louis XVI French bergere chairs with you that I just got
back from the upholsterer.
I picked these up in Avignon.

They are a wonderful sage green color with gilt
detailing. Luscious don't you think?
**************************
Mark your calendar for the weekend of
June 26th!!
I have a client that may be moving to France,
so I am liquidating her house. It's a great
opportunity to get some nice French and English
antiques, especially if you are a dealer!!
For my readers, you get 1st dibs!

This is a great walnut farm table with a
breadboard top. It is 73" long x 34" wide.
Everything in the house will be sold, so if
you see something else your interested in,
feel free to send me an email or call.

French Louis XV style oak sideboard, dates from
early 1900's. Measures 78" wide x 19" deep x
40.5" tall.

This is a nice hand painted French chest.
It measures 59" wide x 22" deep.

This table isn't French, it's American, but still
nice. Actually, a mercantile table from the early
1900's. At 90" long x 24" deep x 30" tall,
you can see it makes a nice desk.

One of my favorites, this original painted
armoire/cupboard came from a shop also.
Measures 54" wide x 13" deep x 68.5" tall.

Lots of antique French glazed pottery and confits.
Are you beginning to get the idea its French Country?

Lots of upholstered pieces too, like this little
Louis XV bergere.

And this tulip is hand painted on the fabric.

Even the chandeliers go and every cabinet will be emptied and sold. This is a six arm, French
black iron birdcage chandelier from the 20's.

A hand painted trunk from the Alsace region
of France.
I am going to show the farm table to a client
this evening, so I plan to get more photos.
I'll post more info about the sale as the date
gets closer.
This is a 2600 sq. ft. farmhouse full.
Everything must go!!
Contact me if you see anything that interests
you.
I have another client whose home is going
to be in the "Parade of Homes" next week
in Evansville, Indiana.
8629 Coppercreek Drive
I can't wait to show you photos of Anne's
home. It is gorgeous and oh so Country French!!

On a more personal note.....
My daughter-in-law was crowned Mrs. Kentucky
last week-end, so she will be competing in the
Mrs. America pageant this fall!!

Congratulations Christy!!!!!

Bisou mes ami's and have a wonderful weekend!

Hi Shawn!! I've been thinking about you a lot lately -- have your ears been ringing?! *hugs*

I love how your chairs came out! I want them :)

How fun to be liquidating a house and how lucky for us and generous of you to give us 1st dibs! I love that armoire. Dreamy! I have to tell you that my "desk" is that same table your client is using - mine's not as wide, but it's the same and was tagged 1904 when I bought it.

Glad to see you and thanks for the delicious eye candy.
Happy Weekend, dear one!

Good Morning Shawn!! Lovely to hear from you via this blog!! It is always an inspiring adventure to read your charming stories and view the photos you choose for your posts!! My philosophy is that there are no apologies needed for blog absences...ever. Real life MUST come first or blogs have nothing of substance on them and become moot. It's just so nice when you're able share the bits and pieces of your life with us...it's always so fun to view things from your point of view. Thank you.
Warmly,
Tracey

P.S. Love your "nose to the grindstone" photo and comment...hilarious!!
